I just recently attended the most fascinating photography show PPE & WPPI at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC. Thought it would be nice to share a bit.

HURRICANE IRENE, THE AFTERMATH – ORANGE COUNTY, NY

Hurricane Irene caught me in Upstate – Orange County, NY .

Baruch Hashem we weren’t hit too bad. The storm (rain) was massive & non-stop throughout the night, but by the time morning rolled around it had slowed to a steady rainfall… then trickled to a drizzle until it came to a complete stop.

Got some images of the rain falling, kids splashing in the puddles & just having a grand all around WET DAY.

Is it safe to go out yet?

So we headed down to Prospect Park to get some pretty outdoor pictures of my little yingela. Unfortunately for me, he was having none of it. From pointing to my other kids to have their picture taken, to looking away from the camera, to making funny faces……. He was absolutely not allowing his picture to be taken. Guess we’ll have to try some other time again.

So, I’ve taken a real liking to street photography. So many different moments & little things you can see. Take a look here at the streets of our very own New York.

This picture was taken in a park called The High Line. This was an old railroad track that was converted into a park. The history of this park is really very very interesting, check it out here http://www.thehighline.org/. The view from there to down below is really beautiful & the park itself is quite amazing. Here’s one I got of anther photographer leaning down to get an image of the people sitting on the steps – soaking in the view of NYC.

We welcomed C. back into our studio with open arms. Check out how much his hair has grown since his previous session..... I'm not quite sure how his mommy is going to part with his hair. Little Shloimy has grown up quite a bit...... and though he loves to see all of the photography equipment, the meters, flashes, lights, props, camera etc. he no longer likes to be photographed. Oh well, come what may he still makes us laugh.

Spent some time upstate with family. Got some casual shots of my daughter & my nieces.

Just some good old summertime fun. I haven't gotten the slightest clue what these kids where up to.... But my son seems to be right in the thick of it.

Love, Love, Love the fun & closeness between these two. They are simply the two cutest girls around. Ok Ok I know I am being biased here but trust me on this one. They sure are fun to be around.

Many times I'm asked, what's really the difference between the 2? What is a composite?, what is a collage? Well, check this out.
According to answers.com a "Composite" is defined as the following: A photograph made by combining two or more separate photographs.
A collage is defined by Wikipedia as: A collage (From the French: coller, to glue) is a work of formal art, primarily in the visual arts, made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole.

So...... basically it all boils down to the same thing. Taking numerous images & combining them into 1 final work of art.

For some odd reason I seem to get all of the curly heads...... Well, this one was SUPER CUTE! Took him a bit of time to warm up, but when we got him to smile ... boy did he give us some cute grins!. Check him out! Mazel Tov & loads of Nachas.

We went to the mountains with our family. Spent a most wonderful weekend together. We took the kids swimming on Sunday & gave them a grand good time! At the end we threw in a bit of photography. They were none too pleased.

Love the images of kids in the water. Looks so refreshing.
